Project focus area 

My goal is to eradicate the use of Styrofoam products by restaurants and consumers. Ideally, I'd like to see more consumers chose to bring their own containers for leftovers while eating out at restaurants and refuse to patronize businesses that serve drinks and food in Styrofoam cups and containers, and would love to see more restaurants use compostable containers for to go orders.

Plan for action

I will start a social media campaign about the issue, partner with Waste Management and other local waste removal organizations, FIFA 2026 and Kansas City government local influencers and community partners for marketing, and petition local restaurants to adopt the Styrofoam Free KC initiative.
