Evidence
This on campus effort was about getting more caterers, restaurants, grocers, Colleges, student groups, other campus affiliates to become aware of FHFR and then participate as donors or food run volunteers. We are just getting started. From Sept-Dec 2025 we recovered approx. 6,000 lbs of food which was matched with six different campus and off campus/community recipient sites. Keep in mind zero waste is the goal. No food operation wants to have excess food costs and therefore their goal is zero waste but if/when there are those times with extra food, we’re trying to get systems in place to get it safely managed and moved to people that need it.
