Generations Cook Together – Intergenerational Cooking & Storytelling

Host four seasonal cooking events over the course of a year, each fostering intergenerational connection, preserving cultural traditions, & educating participants about nutrition & local food resources

Quantitative data:
· 130 meals served during the Thanksgiving Feast
· Approximately 80 households participated in the community meal
· 65 households received meal kits
· 15 healthy, low-cost recipes distributed per meal kit
· Food resource and SNAP information distributed at 100% of events
· Establishment of one permanent on-site senior food pantry
· Weekly mobile food pantry visits now serving senior residents
Qualitative data:
· Participants expressed appreciation for receiving clear, accessible information about SNAP and local food resources in a non-stigmatizing setting
· Strong anecdotal feedback highlighting increased sense of belonging and community connection
· High turnout of elderly residents, indicating unmet social and nutritional needs
· Youth expressed pride and excitement in contributing to meaningful community work
Staff observed increased awareness and follow-up questions related to food assistance programs
