WAU Food Security Program

Project focus area 

To provide hunger relief and sense of food security for individuals and families who are struggling to put food on the table.

Plan for action

The Food Security Program will address food insecurity among African immigrants, refugees, students and their families in Wichita during school breaks, holidays, and weekends. We will also organize a community holiday dinner to provide holiday cheer for those who had been in distress about food from the uncertainty regarding SNAP during the government shut down.
