In this demonstration project ahead of a larger community garden, 17 container gardens were planted with 16 different types of vegetables, fruits, and herbs.
During a short survey period, there was overwhelming support for the community garden project with 25 willing to devote time. Those giving input included our elderly and disabled population who expressed what types of features were desired in the raised beds handicapped garden.
